Military medal display case, handmade from solid walnut and built to your exact interior dimensions. Choose any size from 10x10 to 30x30 inches, 2, 3 or 4 inches deep, to honor a career of service with a shadow box sized for medals, ribbons, rank insignia, unit pins, patches and challenge coins.
A military retirement, promotion or change of station deserves more than an off-the-shelf frame. Every case is made by hand from solid American black walnut, with corners cut as true miters so the grain flows continuously around the frame, then reinforced with contrasting maple splines for strength that will last for generations.
The front is a 1/4" museum-grade acrylic window with a scratch-resistant, anti-reflective, UV-protective coating that won't yellow, so ribbons and fabric keep their color. The door swings on solid brass hinges and closes with a solid brass latch, both aged to a classic patina. Inside, a black velvet liner covers 1/4" cork over a wood backer, so medals, pins and insignia can be pinned or fastened directly in place, and the backing and acrylic are both removable when it's time to add the next award. Each box also comes with 3 adjustable and removable shelves - each shelf has a groove placed near the back so that medals, coins, and other items can be easily stood up and displayed.
Display it three ways: hang it flush on the wall using the keyhole slots on the back (just two screws), stand it on a desk or mantel, or lay it flat on a shelf.

American black walnut is a premium North American hardwood prized for its rich color and varied figure. All of our lumber is professionally kiln dried to prevent warping and cracking. No two cases are alike, so expect natural variation in grain and color from the one pictured.

CUSTOM ORDER POLICY
Because each case is built to your specifications, custom orders can't be returned or exchanged. Orders may be cancelled before shipping for a partial refund, less any materials already cut for your project and labor completed. Every order ships fully insured: if yours arrives damaged, keep all packaging, photograph the case and packaging, and message us within 48 hours so we can repair, replace or remake it.
